One of the best things about long distance relationships, is that you�re almost forced to talk problems out. If you�re fighting, giving the silent treatment doesn�t work so well, and screaming into a phone only gets you so far. It�s not like you can slam doors, or walk out and drive away. So eventually you end up lying there, phone pinned between your cheek and a pillow, truly listening to what the other person has to say.
This is where I was last night, when words came tumbling out, and does he understand where I�m coming from? And by the end, that answer was yes. Because sometimes you have no choice but to give up on your anger and you cling to the phone, trying to solve this. Solve things. It becomes so simple sometimes, when the arguments from weeks can cumulate into huge dark clouds that burst, pouring down problems. And you say, �you�ve been on my mind constantly� and insecurities are fading, and suddenly you�re working on the core.
It works so much better then when you�re standing face to face, it solves itself so much more quickly when there are no escapes. When you�re in a dark room, and hanging up just leads to another ringing phone.
