Here is what I�ve learned lately: Cheating and lying may be the easier ways of doing things. When you lie, you don�t have to hurt anyone. You don�t have to get lectured when you were the only one who did the right thing, but you�re the only one they can yell at.
If you lie, or omit the truth, they think you�re being perfect all the time. Because maybe trying to be a good daughter, or girlfriend, or friend isn�t important. Perhaps it�s only important to put up this beautiful front of such a thing. You don�t have to be it, as long as they think that you are it.
It may seem dishonest, but when you�re honest, you only dig yourself into holes you don�t want to be in. You only lose things you love, or hurt things and it�s like you�ve laid yourself down on the sidewalk in order to swiftly kick yourself a couple dozen times.
No one is pleased with you until you become what pleases them. This may seem like a wall of lie and deceit, but think of it only as fulfilling the wishes of everyone you love. And in the process you protect yourself.
And They can stop punishing you for doing nothing at all wrong.
