Song: Longview - Greenday

Understand that friends come and go, but with a precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle, because the older you get, the more you need the people who knew you when you were young. -Baz Luhrmann, Everbody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

Sometimes I just forget. Just pass over how much they mean to me. What a tight little group we can be. Were a preteen movie or book. Were Now And Then or The Sisterhood Of The Traveling pants. That group of four who loves each other. Who are the closest friends, always facing different hardships and living different lives, intertwined.

Megan, Rahnia, Jula and Sylvia.

We went for pizza and then running through fountains on the waterfront. And all it brings is a certain sort of happy depression. I love them more than anything, but we cant always be this. Rahnia lives in Maryland and Sylvia goes to a different school, and this is my last year of high school and Julas second. How much longer do we have to all be together?

Christmas break, next summer and then its college for Rahnia and I, and Senior and junior year for Sylvia and Jula, respectively. Its heartbreaking.

High school ends and people know they may never see their friends again. People may walk away and never look back. Are we supposed to do that? How long can we keep up a friendship after weve all been spread around?

How much is everyone going to want to?

Puzzling how hard it can be in your mind to keep in touch. Emailing back is easy, and cell phones have free long-distance, but I feel with this entry it sounds like Im giving up on them already. But Im not.

We still have Christmas and Summer breaks.
