You Need To Know Seattle To Miss Me

Song:

In frustration I turn to topics Id rather not open onto paper, because they cause me troubles despite their wonderful highlights to my life. Maybe you understand, and maybe you do not.

Somehow I always lean towards the latter no matter the situation.

No one can understand. Then no one really can know me. You need to know Seattle if youre going to miss me, so learn if it means that much to you.

Which I doubt, Ahh cynicism.

Theres too much to knowing my Seattle and too little willingness to allow anyone else step upon. They dont have Chris at their arm like I do as they pass through Pike Place market. You need to choke down bubble tea, smoothies with tapioca balls in them.

Dim sum from 11 am to 3 pm everyday at House Of Hong. The man in the jacket will hook you up with the parking. Maroon jacket with gold wording, he isnt there when theres no parking, and when you bring the car there isnt any. Afterwards you need to wander and eat more, because you can never have enough Asian food when you travel in my Seattle. Eat coconut rolls and walk through China town.

To know it just right, you have to step into Lita and Bugs apartment. Breath in the slight smells of mildew, that doesnt seem wrong at all, and listen to the constant running of the toilet. It becomes comfort. Lie on the sectional and watch the video games, and play along with Mario Party 4 and Super Smash Bros. Leave in the evening, or come back, passing by the red tree with the security light behind it. The Ring, its a required phrase to pretend to be scared by. The creepy tree from the creepy movie and doesnt it look just like it?

Walk through downtown, and watch Chris become confused as you randomly take turns, just to see his reaction and because how are you supposed to see the whole town on a planned path. Make up excuses, because thats part of the game.

Eat McDonalds in Weslake Center though they have it everywhere, and take the monorail to the Space Needle. You go just to say youve been and to stare at Puget Sound and Mount Rainer. Minus the mountain I see the view from the Empire State building, and you need to have been there too to truly see it.

When you head back, this is when youre choking down that bubble tea crap and teasing the boy who thinks its good. Watching the fish market and wanting to buy fish just so that theyll throw it. You can wander past all the other fish sellers, but none of them are quite as good as those who chuck your salmon.

You need the harassment of those at the fruit stands, You going out tonight? You say no and edge away politely, because youre seeing it correctly, and you hate when strangers talk to you. You see then, you two can curl up by the fire and share a pineapple.

Then theres the part where you leave, and I cant find the words to describe. This emotional break down, but youre not allowed. Get on the train, or the bus or in the car and wish to all the stars above that youre dreaming leaving and youll wake up soon. Wake up next to the boy at your arm on the orange-yellow mattress cover and breath in the perfect mildew smell.
