Song:

Homecoming

Foot out, tip your head, hands on hips
directions and photographers.
We are young, too young for ankle length dresses and the strapless bras holding up proudly what is hardly there.
Arching backs, smiles, giggles.
Children playing dress up, playing the part of teens.
Eighth graders playing the high school students.
Real students.
Acquaintances pose together, smiling at a gray box as if theyre having the time of their lives.
Friends gather now, continue the annual tradition, pose again
Pose as who you are and who you hope to be,
tilt your head and smile
